HR Business Partner

WLR Automotive Group is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner. The Human Resources Business Partner (“HRBP”) serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leaders across the business. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining effective business partnerships and serving as a consultant in strategic and tactical approaches for all HR areas. A successful candidate will have experience translating business priorities into actionable talent strategies, managing change within a business, and influencing and coaching leaders.

  • Act as a business partner by working strategically with the employees and management in a multi-location work environment.
  • Advise and coach managers on best practices, internal policies, employment law and human resources management.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR programs, systems, policies, and procedures, including consultation, communication, and change management.
  • Maintains knowledge of all Federal, State, and local laws, workplace rules and regulations related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers/leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Acts as point of contact for employee relations, which includes handling employee complaints, performing investigations, conflict resolution, and risk mitigation.
  • Creates assigned HR communications and announcements.
  • Assists with full life cycle recruiting initiatives to include resume review, phone screens and interviews, and candidate selection.
  • Manage/leads HR projects & initiatives assigned by HR Director.
  • Write, revise, and edit HR Department policies and procedures as assigned by HR Director.


  • Team player with excellent relationship building skills.
  • Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude to ensure all work is done to the highest possible standard.
  • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Results-oriented problem-solver with a proven ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Occasional travel to and between locations within a within a 75-mile radius.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work occasional additional hours to meet the needs of the business.
