Our Mission
Changing Lives, One Neighbor At A Time
The WLR Automotive Group Foundation is committed to supporting nonprofit organizations that strengthen our community through education and essential services, such as youth development, mentoring, food access, and housing assistance. While our efforts are centered on Frederick County, Maryland, where our company was founded and remains deeply rooted, we may also consider support for surrounding areas where there is alignment with our mission and a demonstrated need.
Why Frederick County
Frederick County is where WLR Automotive Group was founded, and it remains the heart of our operations today. Our corporate office and 9 out of 30 business locations are proudly rooted here, making us deeply connected to the people and communities we serve. As the fastest-growing county in Maryland, Frederick faces increasing needs, from food insecurity to housing and youth development. The WLR Automotive Group Foundation is committed to being part of the solution by supporting local organizations that are creating lasting, positive change.

Our Focus
The WLR Automotive Group Foundation directs its giving toward initiatives that create lasting change where we live and work. Guided by our mission to support education and essential services, we focus on key areas that address urgent needs and build a stronger, healthier Frederick County and surrounding communities.

Our First Initiative
Amplified Change is a nonprofit dedicated to helping children with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) heal, grow, and build resilience through therapeutic arts and trauma-informed programming. Through our after-school programs, camps, and community partnerships, we create safe, supportive spaces where creativity becomes a tool for emotional wellbeing. Our mission is simple: to empower children to heal trauma and build resilience through the transformative power of art and education.
We will be expanding our mission by creating the Amplified Change Art Academy, a first-of-its-kind therapeutic arts school designed specifically for youth with ACEs. The Academy will provide a trauma-informed, creative learning environment where students can access education in a way that supports both their healing and their future success.
