WLR Automotive Group is proud to celebrate its 35th anniversary by giving back to the community in a big way. As part of this milestone celebration, WLR Automotive Group donated $35,000 to six deserving charities in the Maryland and Pennsylvania communities through a voting process.
The community played a pivotal role in the selection process, nominating and voting for the charities they believed would benefit most from the donation. The overwhelming response showcased the community’s passion and support for causes ranging from homelessness and animal welfare to veterans’ support and environmental conservation.
After careful consideration, the votes were tallied, and WLR was pleased to announce the six charities that will each receive a generous donation:
1st Place: Interfaith Works Montgomery County – $10,000
2nd Place: Operation Paws for Homes – $5,000
3rd Place: House of Hope PA – $5,000
4th Place: Frederick Blessings in a Backpack – $5,000
5th Place: Howard County Veteran Foundation – $5,000
6th Place: Canal Trust – $5,000
The donations were presented to the chosen charities at an exclusive evening dinner event at the historic Union Mills Public House in Frederick.
It was a memorable occasion, bringing together community leaders, charity representatives, and supporters to celebrate the spirit of giving and collaboration that defines our community.
